Bloodgrass

Grass type: Annual (Stores water in its stem)

This small, red grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The triangular stalks grow in extensive patches that are light and frail and they spread and grow quickly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, blood red spikelet.

During the mid-autumn, it produces copious amounts of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with lots of large grains.

It comes in 22 varieties.
It is almost impossible to grow indoors.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
