Caramel Moss

This red or caramel moss is commonly found blanketing giant areas In marshes.
It is short, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps, and is slightly resilient; it can easily endure flooding and draughts.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release dozens of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.

It is extremely resistant to fire damage.
