Clinging Goldbloom

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 18 years. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has dozens of flexible, wavy stems covered in delicate, cracked, dark brown bark, and the wood inside is pine-coloured.

The branches are very long and thick with dozens of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of huge, very thick, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are generally gold, sturdy and smooth.

In mid-spring it produces lots of medium-sized, light grey flowers with pleated petals. They detach easily and have a mildly strong scent that smells like honeysuckle.
