Flower type: Perennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short flower grows up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. Its hazel and yellow stem is very thick, and the tiny, hazel and yellow leaves are slender, pointed with serrated edges. 20 leaves grow at the base of the stem.

Two medium-sized flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 6 cm (2.4 inches) wide, with solid blood red petals and an orange central disk. The flower head is made up of 11 petals in raised layers. They are hardy.

It has an intensely strong scent that smells like lavender, and it has lots of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.

It is difficult to cut through.
