Crimson Vine
Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This giant vine is a slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 3,011 feet (917.8 meters) and growing as high as 261 feet (79.6 meters).
It takes 45 years for the cream and lime green stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 3.9 feet (1.2 meters) and are rough and fibrous.
The wispy, fuzzy leaves reach up to 1.5 feet (46 cm) in length. They are brown and pink, and have rounded edges.
During late spring, the vine produces many colossal crimson flowers, and during the late summer, after flowering, it produces plenty of tiny fruits.
It grows well in the sun and full shade.
