Magenta

Flower type: Biennial (Stores water in its stem)

This average-sized flower grows up to 8 inches (20 cm) tall. Its pink-red stem is thick, and the tiny, yellow leaves are circular with ripped edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

6 to 8 tiny flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 40 cm (15.7 inches) wide, with magenta petals and a purple central disk. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals in raised layers. They are very delicate.

It has a weak scent that smells like wet dog, and it has an average amount of pollen. It is pollinated by insects , but is also visited by a small species of bird.


It releases hallucinogenic smoke when burned.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
