Bloodleaf

This huge leaf succulent grows up to 131 feet (39.9 meters) tall. The very thin stem is gray-green, and is covered in thick sheets of flexible green spines. The serrated-edged, long, tapering leaves are red and blood red. Small amounts of them grow from the base in a symmetrical pattern. The leaves are sturdy, but take some effort to detach.

It is steady-growing, taking 6 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with alternating petals of deep purple and lilac, with a sky blue central disk grows at the top, reappearing after 6 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of 25 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight heart. It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like perfume.

The leaf succulent's skin is thick, the dark brown flesh is sticky, and the silver sap is thin.
