Copper Moss

This copper moss is commonly found growing in giant clumps On trees, and In moorlands.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches and they are exceptionally hardy, and is very flexible; it is very difficult to kill.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release millions of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
