Flower type: Perennial (Stores water in its leaves)This small flower grows up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. Its moss green stem is wispy and straight, and the large, gray leaves are black on the underside and are thick with ripped edges. The leaves grow from the base and are the same length as the stem.
Two medium-sized flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 6 cm (2.4 inches) wide, with brilliant green petals and a sky blue central disk. The flower head is shaped like a cube made up of 8 tightly layered, round-tipped petals. They are sturdy.
It has a powerful scent that smells like old shoes, and it has very little pollen. It is pollinated by the wind.
It out-competes most other plants for nutrients and light.
