Bloodvine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This big vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 74 feet (22.6 meters) and growing as high as 71 feet (21.6 meters). It prefers to grow on rock formations.

It takes 2 years for the lime green stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 1.1 feet (33 cm) and are tough and woody.

The finger-like, rough leaves reach up to 1.1 feet (33 cm) in length. They are grey with blood red tips, and have wavy edges.

During late spring, the vine produces many small pink flowers.

It spreads easily and often blanket large areas.
It is possible to grow it from cuttings.
