Creamtail Grass

Grass type: Annual (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This modest-sized, orange grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The long, tapering stalks grow in small clumps that are rigid and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a medium-sized, cream tail.

During the mid-summer, it produces an average amount of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a handful of medium-sized grains.

The sap causes severe rashes
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It comes in 18 varieties, each with a different leaf colour.
