Coppervine

This giant flower grows up to 13.3 feet (4.1 meters) tall. Its gray-green stem is thick, and the tiny, dark red or copper leaves are wispy with irregular edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

Each stem splits 2 to 4 times; a single giant flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 31 cm (12.2 inches) wide, with petals that are green on the underside and orange on the top. The flower head is shaped like a dish made up of handfuls of raised, narrow petals. They are hardy.

It has a mildly strong scent that smells like grass cuttings, and it has very little pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind, but is also visited by one species of insect in particular.
