Aquamarine

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)

This large tree grows up to 72 meters (236.2 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 370 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a thick, crooked trunk covered in delicate, cracked, brown bark, and inside, the very light wood is pale brown.

The numerous branches are short, thin and wispy and are covered with large amounts of crispy, small, thin leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are either lime or aquamarine, with brown zig-zags.

In early spring, it produces lots of small, dark grey blossoms with fan-like petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They detach easily and have an overpowering scent that smells like pot-purri.

In late summer it forms tiny, beige, spiky-shelled seeds.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with clear space between them.

It usually houses a colony of beneficial insects.
It is suitable for making strong rope
