Crimson Vine

This short vine is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 14 feet (4.3 meters) and growing as high as 522 feet (159.1 meters).

It takes 5 months for the red stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and are rough and gnarled.

The spear shaped, sticky leaves reach up to 4 inches (10 cm) in length. They are solid sky blue with crimson edges, and have rounded edges.

During late spring, the vine produces many average bronze flowers, and during the late summer, after flowering, it produces excessive amounts of large seed pods.
