Emerald V-Moss

This gray moss is commonly found growing in tiny clumps In moorlands, On trees, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is slightly resistant.
When mature, emerald V-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release millions of spores.
