This bold green moss is commonly found growing in small clumps On trees.
It is colossal, growing up to 1.3 feet (41 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps, and is very light.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release hundred of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
