Crimsonvine

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 42 years. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has several wide, slanted stems covered in waxy, gray bark, and the wood inside is mahogany-coloured.

The branches are very short and thin with thousands of twigs that and are covered with very large amounts of huge, very narrow and elongated, leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are solid white or crimson, with violet lines, delicate and smooth.

It produces copious amounts of giant, lime flowers with sickle shaped petals with a tube-like floral cup. They detach easily and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like a woman. In early autumn it forms tinygold, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.
