Copperflower

This average-sized flower grows up to 1.0 foot (30 cm) tall. Its copper stems grow in bunches of 8 and are very thick and straight, and the huge, red leaves are fan-like with smooth edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

A single giant flower sits at the end of each stem. The flowers are 4 cm (1.6 inches) wide, with petals that are light grey on the edges and white at the center. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 29 curved petals. They fall easily.

It has a soft scent that smells like meat, and it has lots of pollen,but it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind, but is enjoyed by several specific types of insect.
