Crimson Succulent

This massive leaf succulent grows up to 178 feet (54.3 meters) tall. The thin stem is brown, and is covered in sharp spines. The rounded leaves are generally beige. Very large amounts of them grow on stocky, emerald branches that are very short and thick. The leaves are hardy, and take some effort to detach.

It is steady-growing, taking 12 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are orange on the edges and crimson at the center, grow at the top, reappearing once every 3 years. The flower head is shaped like a bowl with 22 tightly layered, round-tipped petals. It has a fairly strong scent that smells like onion.

The leaf succulent's skin is extremely thick, the vibrant orange flesh is smooth, and the deep green sap is thin.
