Burgundy Moss

This burgundy moss is commonly found blanketing giant areas In marshes, and On trees.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps, and is extremely flexible.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release thousands of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
