Blackvine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short vine is a quick growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 15 feet (4.6 meters) and growing as high as 100 feet (30.5 meters).

It takes 4 months for the green stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are hard and brittle.

The slender, pointed, leathery leaves reach up to 5 inches (13 cm) in length. They are generally black, and have toothed edges.

During late spring, the vine produces dozens of giant crimson flowers, and during the mid-summer, after flowering, it produces lots of very large berries.

The sap is turquoise.
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
