Copper Moss

This copper moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In rainy mountain ranges.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and they spread and grow quickly, and is slightly frail.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release dozens of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.
