Crimsonbrush

This colossal shrub grows up to 14 feet (4.3 meters) tall and lives for around 73 years. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many stocky, straight stems covered in thick, smooth, copper-coloured bark, and the wood inside is gray.

The branches are very long and thin with thousands of twigs that and are covered with handfuls of giant, stiff, pointed, leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are solid black with crimson streaks, frail and covered in fine hairs.

In early summer it produces hundreds of large, hazel flowers with fan-like petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are very delicate and have a fairly strong scent that smells like soap.
