Bluevine

This average-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 43 feet (13.1 meters) and growing as high as 165 feet (50.3 meters).

It takes 21 months for the green stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 3 inches (8 cm) and are smooth and woody.

The wispy, covered in fine hairs leaves reach up to 1.2 feet (36 cm) in length. They are purple on the sides and gentle blue at the center, and have rounded edges.

During late spring, the bine produces handfuls of small gentle blue flowers.
