Blood Red

This average-sized cactus grows up to 34 feet (10.4 meters) tall. The thick stem is blood red or cyan, and is covered in handfuls of flexible washed-out yellow spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 9 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with petals that are hazel at the sides and dark brown at the center grow at the top, reappearing after 3 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 10 petals. It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like petrol.

The cactus's skin is delicate, the green flesh is slimy, and the bronze sap is thin.
