Aquamarine Spike

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This short cactus grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall. The perforated stem is aquamarine, and is covered in many fine, white, hair-like spines.

It is fast growing, taking 11 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with petals that are pink in the center, olive in the middle and black at the edges grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 44 petals. It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like rich perfume.

The cactus's skin is delicate, the orange flesh is sticky, and the lilac sap is thin and causes vomiting if consumed.

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
