Bloodsun

This small flower grows up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. Its muted red and blood red stems grow in bunches of 6 and are very thin and straight, and the tiny, orange leaves are thick with wavy edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the stem.

Several giant flowers grow in a bunch at the end of the stem. The flowers are 7 cm (2.8 inches) wide, with solid brilliant yellow petals decorated with dark grey lines and a pink central disk. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 28 petals. They detach easily.

It has a fairly strong scent that smells like lemon, and it has lots of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird, but is also particularly attractive to butterflies.
