Coppervine

This short vine is a quick growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 16 feet (4.9 meters) and growing as high as 109 feet (33.2 meters).

It takes 4 months for the copper stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and are rough and gnarled.

The thin, rough leaves reach up to 3 inches (8 cm) in length. They are blood red on the edges and copper at the center, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the vine produces many balls of small washed-out blue flowers.
