Brownheart

This brown moss is commonly found blanketing large areas In bogs, and On rotten logs.
It is small, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is overwhelmingly frail.
When mature, emerald heart-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release dozens of spores.
