Grass type: Biennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This giant, cream and yellow-green grass grows up to 23 feet (7.0 meters) tall. The long, tapering stalks grow in extensive patches that are resilient.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a tiny, brilliant purple tuft.
During the late autumn, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with copious amounts of tiny grains.
