Coralvine

Flower type: Perennial (Grows and flowers repeatedly for more than two years)

This big flower grows up to 5.2 feet (1.6 meters) tall. Its pink-red stem is wispy, and the miniature, emerald leaves are broad, flat with smooth edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

3 to 8 medium-sized flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 32 cm (12.6 inches) wide, with petals that are white on the edges and aquamarine at the center. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 20 petals. They are hardy.

It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like a newborn baby, and it has lots of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.

The bark, wood and leaves are edible.
