Aquamarine

This giant shrub grows up to 10 feet (3.0 meters) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 185 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many branched, slanted stems covered in hard, silky, brown-green bark, and the wood inside is burgundy.

The branches are short stubs with thousands of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of huge, pleated, leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are solid aquamarine with copper lines, resistant and soft.

In late summer it produces large amounts of giant, red flowers with needle-like petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are very delicate and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like sweat.
