Bloodfern

This bronze and blood red moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In damp forests.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is very rigid; it struggles more than most during dry spells.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release millions of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
