Flower type: Perennial (Stores water in its stem)This small flower grows up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. Its yellow stem is very thin and straight, and the miniature, yellow leaves are slender, pointed with smooth edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from the base up to about halfway.
Each stem splits 5 to 7 times; a single large flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 5 cm (2.0 inches) wide, with caramel petals on the lower layer and caramel petals decorated with bronze dots on the inner layer. The central disk is amber. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 59 curved petals. They are hardy.
It has the faintest scent that smells like soap, and it has very little pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects and is particularly attractive to butterflies.
