Crimson Moss

Moss type: Moss

This pink-red moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In moorlands, and On trees.
It is giant, growing up to 1.6 feet (48 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is extremely frail; it takes a lot of damage when trodden on.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release hundred of spores.

It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
It is frequently struck by lightning.
