Emerald Rigid Moss

This moss green moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In moorlands, In rainforests, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is extremely rigid.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release dozens of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.

It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
