Blueberry Tree

Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short fruit tree grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 10 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 29 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a narrow, straight trunk covered in smooth, black with white speckled bark, and inside, the very dense wood is brown.

The small bunches of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with very large amounts of large, very thin leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are generally blue.

In early spring, it produces thousands of small, silver blossoms with shield-shaped petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are very delicate and have a mildly strong scent that smells like fruity.

In mid-summer it produces small, oval fruit. The rubbery peach skin is thick and spicy, and the crunchy olive flesh is spicy and very juicy. The green seeds are small and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with grassy ground between them.

It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if cut.
It is suitable for making paper
