Magenta Vine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This average-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 27 feet (8.2 meters) and growing as high as 83 feet (25.3 meters).

It takes 4 years for the magenta stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 2 inches (5 cm) and are tough and woody.

The pleated, waxy leaves reach up to 1.6 feet (48 cm) in length. They are olive on the sides and black at the center, and have irregular edges.

During late spring, the bine produces many large olive flowers.

It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if it falls or if its limbs are knocked off.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
