Copper

This big flower grows up to 6.4 feet (2.0 meters) tall. Its lime green stem is very thin, and the small, gray-green leaves are cylindrical with rounded edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.

4 to 7 large flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 36 cm (14.2 inches) wide, with copper petals and a beige central disk. The flower head is shaped like a dish with 42 tightly layered, narrow petals. They are sturdy.

It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like cotton, and it has copious amounts of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird, but is also particularly attractive to butterflies.
