Blackvine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This modest-sized vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 40 feet (12.2 meters) and growing as high as 825 feet (251.5 meters).

It takes 5 years for the black stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 4 inches (10 cm) and are smooth and rubbery.

The very narrow and elongated, rough leaves reach up to 10 inches (25 cm) in length. They are green and orange, and have toothed edges.

During late spring, the vine produces thick bunches of colossal pink flowers, and during the early summer, after flowering, it produces a few small fruits.

The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
