Copper Petal

This short flower grows up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. Its orange-yellow stems grow in bunches of 6 and are thin and straight, and the small, yellow-green and orange-yellow leaves are fan-like with irregular edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

Around 30 tiny flowers grow in a bunch at the end of the stem. The flowers are 5 cm (2.0 inches) wide, with alternating petals of slate and copper, with a yellow central disk. The flower head is largely flat with many tightly layered narrow petals. They are hardy.

It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like baby powder, and it has lots of pollen. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.
