Caramel

This small caudiciform grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall. The wide stem is green, and is covered in handfuls of rigid caramel spines. The stocky, gold trunk can grow to as much as 8 feet (2.4 meters) in diameter. Its red branches are long and thin.

The jagged-edged, sickle shaped leaves are gray-green with silver tips. They are flimsy, but do not detach easily.

It is very fast growing, taking 2 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with solid silver petals decorated with lilac dots and a aquamarine central disk grows at the top, reappearing after 6 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of several petals in raised layers. It has a strong scent that smells like skunk spray.

The caudiciform's skin is very thick, the peach flesh is soft, and the caramel sap is thin.
