Bluebell Succulent

This small leaf succulent grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The asymmetrical stem is orange, and is covered in handfuls of fine, black, hair-like spines. The bubbly leaves are blue and bright yellow. Large amounts of them grow on wide, green branches that trail down across the ground. The leaves are rigid, and easily come away when pulled.

It is fast growing, taking 9 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with each petal a slightly different shade of amber, grow at the top, reappearing after 10 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of 21 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight bowl. It has a mildly strong scent that smells like alcohol.

The leaf succulent's skin is delicate, the bronze flesh is rough, and the yellow sap is thin.
