Caramel Moss

This caramel moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In heathlands.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is slightly frail.
When mature, emerald circular capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release dozens of spores.
