Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small fruit tree grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall and lives for up to 10 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 24 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a narrow, slanted trunk covered in paper-thin, ridged, black with white speckled bark, and inside, the dense wood is burgundy.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with copious amounts of tiny, finger-like leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are found in aquamarine and orange varieties.

In early spring, it produces dozens of giant, olive blossoms with finger-like petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are hardy and have a fairly strong scent that smells like paint.

In early autumn it produces tiny, broad, flat fruit. The leathery florescent yellow skin is thin and spicy and savoury, and the soft cyan flesh is bitter and sour and syrupy. The crimson seeds are large and are bunched at the top of the fruit.

The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
