Bronze

Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This small caudiciform grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall. The wide stem is yellow-green, and is covered in brittle bronze spines. The stocky, olive trunk can grow to as much as 8 feet (2.4 meters) in diameter. Its brown branches are very long and thin.

The ripped-edged, broad, flat leaves are found in amber and purple varieties. They are resistant, but take little effort to detach.

It is steady-growing, taking 5 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with solid black petals and a caramel central disk grows at the top, reappearing once every 5 years. The flower head is shaped like a trumpet made up of 4 tightly layered, round-tipped petals. It has a powerful scent that smells like alcohol.

The caudiciform's skin is thin, the white flesh is smooth, and the orange sap is thin.

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
