Blue Spined Succulent

This large leaf succulent grows up to 107 feet (32.6 meters) tall. The spear shaped stem is lime green, and is covered in large amounts of rigid silver spines. The jagged-edged, very thin leaves are generally blue. Small bunches of them grow from the base in a loosely patterned way. The leaves are delicate, but easily come away when pulled.

It is very slow growing, taking 41 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with solid black petals decorated with grey lines and a copper central disk, grow at the top, reappearing once every 5 years. The flower head is made up of many petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight star. It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like faeces.

The leaf succulent's skin is rock-hard, the green flesh is sticky, and the azure sap is thin.
