Amber Tree

This massive tree grows up to 122 meters (400.3 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 89 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a slender, curved trunk covered in delicate, cracked, yellow-brown bark, and inside, the hard wood is yellow.

The branches are short, thin and wispy and are covered with large amounts of waxy, huge, wide leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are amber and silver.

In early spring, it produces thick bunches of medium-sized, olive blossoms with slender, pointed petals. They are very delicate and have a delicate scent that smells like pine needles.

In late summer it forms small, dark brown, winged seeds that float and land far away.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with clear space between them.
