Bloodrush

This average-sized, gray grass grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The perforated stalks grow in thin clumps that are flimsy.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, blood red puff.

During the early autumn, it produces very little pollen, but can cause severe allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with excessive amounts of tiny grains.
