Amberfruit Tree

This giant fruit tree grows up to 61 feet (18.6 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 47 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a narrow, wavy trunk covered in thin, ridged, burgundy and brown bark, and inside, the dense wood is yellow-brown.

The sparse amount of branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with small bunches of small, very narrow and elongated leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are peach at the bottom and amber with cyan dots at the top.

In early spring, it produces balls of giant, bright yellow blossoms with kidney-shaped shaped petals. They are very delicate and have an overpowering scent that smells like cheap aftershave.

In late autumn it produces tiny, triangular fruit. The crispy amber skin is thick and spicy and sour, and the soft gold flesh is sweet and spicy and sticky. The lime seed is tiny and sits at the top of the fruit.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
